hi my name is Kathleen Townsend nee Jarvis i took out a policy for my mum when i was young in1967 0r 68 her name was Doris Jarvis my mother has since died and i cant find the policy the company then was united friendly in leeds.i think they have changed names but dont know how to go about finding, i think they are now based in scotland .is there anyway i can find out anything ton do with the policy > i put it away in a safe place but can not find it thankyou for any information you can give me

I have a couple of old polices dated 06 04 55 one for my father and ome for my mother.

Hi Carol

I would first check on the credit card statements (if your sister still has them) to see if there is any evidence of a life insurance premium being charged.

Secondly write to the card companies giving as much detail as possible (e.g. his full name, address when he died, account number if known) and ask if his balances were covered by any insurance.

Let me know what happens.

My sist lost her husband about 6 years ago and did not know or even think about potential insurance he may have had on his credit cards. How can she find out about this? Has the Statute of Limitations run out?
